PIZHICHIL

PIZHICHIL” means “TO SQUEEZE”. An Ayurvedic therapy, where oleation and sudation occurs simultaneously when a special linen cloth or cotton bowl is dipped into warm medicinal oil and squeezed over the whole body or the affected area from a specific height.

One of the processes of Panchakarma, Snehapana involves consumption of medicated ghee or oils in measured quantity as a preparation for further treatments. It's usually administered in increasing doses over several days.

VAMANA

Vamana is a therapeutic procedure in Ayurveda that involves the induction of therapeutic vomiting. It is one of the five main Panchakarma treatments aimed at detoxification and rejuvenation of the body, primarily targeting Kapha dosha.

  • Effectively removes accumulated Kapha and toxins from the upper gastrointestinal tract, enhancing digestive fire (Agni) and alleviating digestive disorders.

VIRECHANA

Virechana is controlled, gentle purgation induced with the help of herbal supplements for the elimination of toxins and non-functional metabolites to an extent, through the intestinal route. This procedure is performed after the satisfactory completion of baahya snehana and swedana.

ANUVASANA VASTI

Also called sneha vasti, anuvasana vasti is a part of Panchakarma, which involves administering an enema with medicated oil or ghee in specified doses after abhyanga and abdominal fomentation.

  • Cleanses and lubricates the colon to alleviate Vata related imbalances

  • Beneficial for reproductive, digestive and nervous systems

  • Enhances digestive fire and promotes strength

NIRUHA VASTI

Niruha Vasti is one among the panchakarma therapies wherein herbal decoction made with honey, rock salt, herbal oil or ghee, herbal paste, and a decoction is administered through anal route, like enema. It is also called Asthapana vasti or Kashaya Vasti. It is normally done after Sneha vasti. This can be given as a single vasti or as a course of several vastis prescribed by the physician.
